Wishing everyone who is detoxing/ cleansing, the very best. If you haven’t done this before, the first few days will be very hard. I urge you to stay strong because it does get better and after the first few days, your body will be used to the change and you will be fine.

Here are the symptoms you might experience during the first 2-4 days and should experience after the first few days.  When our body is being cleansed of all the toxins, we might initially experience the following.

  • Headaches
  • Flu/ Malaria like symptoms
  • Tiredness
  • Diarrhoea
  • Constipation
  • Gas
  • Bloating
  • Bad breath
  • Mood swings/ grumpiness

However, this should ease off after about 2-4 days. Sometimes it might be longer for some.

Positive effects after the first few days of detox.

  • Fat loss
  • Lower cholesterol
  • Improved bowel movement
  • Clearer skin
  • Less bloating
  • More energy
  • Better sleep
  • Alertness

I have done this several times and I can’t say enough how tremendous the benefits are. You will literally feel like a new woman. I had a call from a friend yesterday who I sent a healthy eating plan to in Dec. The plan was very similar to the detox. When I sent the plan to her, I was not aware of her health challenges. I just sent it in my usual fashion of trying to encourage anyone who is willing to eat better/ healthier. She said after two weeks on the plan she went to her doctor for a pre scheduled hysterectomy appointment and was told she did not need to have a hysterectomy anymore. The doctor asked her what she did differently and she said the only thing she did differently was completely change her diet. Needless to say, she is changing it for life because its a small price to pay to have her womb in place. To God be the glory, because the cure to many ailments in life is not through medication or surgery. We just need to be diligent 80% of the time when eating healthy.
